Today Goodman Group, the global leading owner, developer and manager of industrial real estate, celebrated the opening of the 22,000 sqm expansion of its Gyál Logistics Centre. One unit is already pre-leased and the remaining two units are available for immediate lease. The total leasable area has nearly doubled to 44,735 sqm.
The 22,200 sqm facility was built on a speculative basis and delivered in just a few months. The property has been designed to cater to the needs of both small businesses and large companies, and the grade-A warehouse can be adapted to meet customers’ operational needs. Two units, with modules starting from 3,000 sqm, are available for immediate lease.
Goodman Gyál Logistics Centre is ideally suited for logistics operations, located merely 22 kilometres from the centre of Budapest and benefiting from access to well-developed transport infrastructure. The property sits at the junction of the M5 highway and the M0 ring road and is situated only 18 kilometres from Liszt Ferenc International Airport.
Given the high quality of the property and its excellent location, Goodman already pre-leased 4,750 sqm to ADR Logistics Kft., a third-party logistics service provider. ADR, specialized in storing premium food and beverage products, will benefit from the proximity of the Gyál Logistics Centre to its headquarters and will be able to further develop its operations in Hungary.

With the new development, the logistics centre in Gyál will now total 44,735 sqm. The first phase of the property, totalling 22,535 sqm, was completed in 2006 and is fully leased to HOPI Hungaria Logisztikai Kft. The property is owned by Goodman’s flagship European real estate investment vehicle, Goodman European Partnership (GEP).
Goodman also expanded its partnership with SOS Children’s Villages, a global organisation that supports vulnerable children in the local communities in which they operate. As part of the initiative, Goodman Hungary will support the SOS Village in Kecskemét.
“Our recent visit to the SOS Children’s Village in Kecskemét allowed us to see first-hand the struggle that these children face and at the same time their resilience. The work done by SOS Children’s Villages enables these kids to have a strong foundation for the future,” said Kerekes. “We are proud to be part of this great organisation.”
